ABOUT CONFHERMATION

Grace Unfiltered: Real Faith for Real Women

You know that version of yourself you present at church? The one who has it all together, who never doubts, who always says "I'm blessed" even when you're barely holding on?

ConfHERmation Is the place where you can finally put that mask down.

This podcast is for Christian women who are tired of performing their faith and ready to live it authentically. We're done with toxic positivity, spiritual platitudes, and the exhausting pressure to pretend we're fine when we're not. Instead, we're creating space for honest conversations about the real struggles Christian women face—anxiety and depression, toxic relationships, identity crises, sexual purity in the real world, people-pleasing, doubt, and the messy process of healing.

Here's what makes ConfHERmation different: We refuse to choose between grace and truth. We won't water down Scripture to make you comfortable, but we also won't weaponize it to make you feel shame.

We believe the Bible has real answers for real struggles—and we're committed to exploring those answers with authenticity, compassion, and zero judgment.

Each episode tackles topics that matter to Christian women ages 18-55 who are navigating faith, relationships, identity, and mental health in the real world. Whether you're single and trying to honor God in dating, married and struggling with boundaries, questioning everything you were taught growing up, or finally ready to stop apologizing for who you are—this podcast is for you.

What you can expect: Real stories (including vulnerable moments from your host's own journey), biblical teaching that's practical and applicable, compassionate guidance without toxic positivity, and a community of women who are choosing authenticity over performance.

Our Core Values

Authenticity — We believe real faith can handle real questions, real struggles, and real emotions. You don't have to pretend here.

Biblical Integrity — We're committed to Scripture as our foundation, interpreted responsibly and applied practically to modern life.

Compassion — We lead with grace, knowing that everyone is fighting battles we can't see. There's no shame or judgment here.

Empowerment — We believe God created you on purpose, with purpose. Our goal is to help you embrace who He made you to be—fully and unapologetically.

EPISODE 006: "The Side of the Bed That's Empty: Navigating Singleness, Desire, and Loneliness After Divorce"

About Your Host: Evangelist Gwendolyn McRae

If you had met me twenty years ago, you would have met the queen of having it all together.

I was the woman who showed up early, volunteered for everything, had the perfect answer in Bible study, and never—ever—let anyone see me struggle. I thought that's what being a "good Christian woman" meant. I thought faith was supposed to look polished, put-together, and perpetually positive.

And I was exhausted.

Because behind the smile and the "I'm blessed & highly favored" responses, I was drowning. I was battling anxiety I was too ashamed to name. I was people-pleasing my way through relationships that were slowly eroding my sense of self. I was performing a version of faith that looked impressive from the outside but felt hollow on the inside.

It wasn't until my own season of crisis—when the facade finally cracked and I had to face the woman I'd been hiding—that I discovered what authentic faith actually looks like. And it wasn't pretty.

It was messy and honest and full of questions I'd been too afraid to ask out loud. But it was real. And for the first time in my life, I felt free.

That journey changed everything for me. It changed how I read Scripture, how I relate to God, how I show up in relationships, and how I do ministry. And it's why I'm so passionate about creating spaces where women can be real about their struggles without fear of judgment.

As an evangelist and speaker, I've had the privilege of ministering to women across the country—in churches, online, retreats, and one-on-one conversations. And here's what I've learned: we're all struggling with the same things. We're all tired of pretending. We're all longing for permission to be human while still holding onto our faith.

ConfHERmation is my answer to that longing. It's the podcast I wish I'd had during my darkest seasons—a place where grace and truth coexist, where you can ask hard questions without being shut down, where you can admit you're struggling without being told to "just pray more," and where you can discover what it means to live authentically as a woman of God.

I'm not here to give you all the answers. I'm still figuring a lot of this out myself. But I am here to walk this journey with you—to share what I've learned, to point you back to Scripture, to hold space for your questions, and to remind you that you don't have to have it all together to be loved by God.

You're not too much. You're not not enough. You're not broken beyond repair. And you don't have to pretend anymore.

My heart for this podcast is simple: I want every woman who listens to know that she's not alone, that her struggles don't disqualify her from God's love, and that authentic faith is not only possible—it's what God has been inviting her into all along.

So welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
